5,000-6,000 sq. ft (south-facing) for ~230 panels
100kW system

How they work:
Photovoltaic (PV) solar panels are an array of solar cells which capture sunlight and convert it into direct current (DC) electricity.

  • Sunlight Hits Panels: PV cells absorb sunlight; some light reflects off.
  • Photon Impact: Sunlight knocks electrons free in the semiconductor.
  • Electron Movement: Freed electrons create negative (e⁻) and positive (holes) charges.
  • Electric Field Guides: The electric field directs electron flow.
  • DC Electricity: Connected circuits enable a flow of direct current (DC).

2: Hybrid Bi-Directional Inverters:

How it works:

  • Converts solar direct current (DC) power to usable alternating current (AC) power.
  • Combines string inverter technology with the ability to DC couple SunSynk battery technology
  • Manages energy flow between solar panels, batteries, and the grid.
  • Stores excess solar energy in batteries for later use.
  • Supplies power from the battery during the night or outages.
  • Sends surplus energy to the grid when the battery is full.
  • Optimises energy usage to lower electricity costs.

3: Battery Energy Storage System (BESS):

How it works:

  • Energy Capture: As Solar panels generate electricity; excess power goes to the BESS.
  • Energy Storage: Unused energy is stored for use at night, during outages, or on cloudy days.
  • Energy Conversion: The inverter converts stored energy for business or grid use.
  • Power Switching: Draws from the battery when solar isn’t generating; switches to grid if needed.
  • Smart Optimisation: Manages energy flow to maximise savings and efficiency.
  • Grid Support: Provides backup power and supports energy independence.

4: The AlphaGen Energy Management System (EMS):

Proprietary and Groundbreaking and sets new standards in energy monitoring, offering unparalleled insights and control.

Designed in-house, offering cutting-edge capabilities for solar energy management and monitoring.

  • Step 1: RS485 Connection – Connects directly to the inverter using RS485, enabling the system to read essential data such as energy generation, production, and export.
  • Step 2: MODBUS Protocol – Integrates with the MODBUS Protocol, a communication software that allows control of inverter parameters on-site.
  • Step 3: Monitors the Master unit and sends commands if adjustments are needed, which automatically updates the Slave units and the overall inverter operations.

Unique benefits of EMS:

• Enhanced Monitoring:
• Delivers in-depth data analysis from inverters.
• Adds robust data monitoring security, enabling cross-validation between the inverter’s built-in monitoring and our EMS.
• Client-Friendly Interface:
• Displays real-time data (updated every 30 seconds) on various devices such as laptops, phones, or TVs.
• Customizable interface tailored to display only the information most relevant to each user.

This proprietary system sets new standards in energy monitoring, offering unparalleled insights and control.
