PROJECT OVERVIEW
AlphaGen took this project from concept to completion with a clear, well-managed process. Design, approvals, installation and commissioning were delivered seamlessly, with quality evident throughout.
The solution strengthened energy resilience, reduced operational cost exposure and delivered long-term energy and asset benefits.
Phase 1 – Data Capture & DNO
AlphaGen fully managed the DNO application process, incorporating grid feedback into the final system design to ensure compliance and seamless approval.
Phase 2 – Strategic System Design
A future-ready renewable energy system was engineered to maximise on-site solar consumption, reduce peak demand exposure and support long-term resilience.
Phase 3 – Implementation & Delivery
The project was delivered, fully tested and commissioned on schedule, with immediate operational impact from day one.
STRATEGIC SYSTEM DESIGN
480 Trina Solar 495W Vertex S Panels
4 x 50kW Hybrid Inverters with 61.44kWh Battery Stack
4 x Sunsynk F60 External PowerHub BESS Units
Fully fire-insulated, IP65-rated self-contained hubs – the first installed in the UKIntelligent energy management system integration
The external BESS PowerHub solution simplified installation, freed internal space and supported insurance compliance.
PROJECT PREPARATION
Following detailed site analysis, AlphaGen developed a complete system design aligned with the warehouse’s operational profile and energy demand.
Early DNO engagement ensured grid capacity was understood and managed effectively. All approvals, procurement and compliance were handled in-house to streamline delivery.
PROJECT DELIVERY
Installation and commissioning were executed to the highest safety and performance standards.
Upon commissioning, the system immediately supplied 99% of the building’s energy requirement directly on-site. A high-performance battery system maximises solar self-consumption while reducing peak demand exposure.
An intelligent off-peak charging strategy further optimises cost through differential tariffs.
The system is future-ready, with the ability to export surplus energy to create a potential additional revenue stream.
