PROJECT OVERVIEW:
AlphaGen Energy was asked to review premises in order to design, procure and install a complete renewable energy solar and battery storage solution.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES:
Reduce electricity grid reliance, provide a future proof energy source and drive operational efficiency via energy cost reduction.
SYSTEM FACTS
- 4 x Sunsynk F60 PowerHubs each fully fire insulated IP65 rated self-contained hubs
the first to be installed in the UK. - 4 x 50kW Hybrid inverters with a 61.44kWh Battery Stack
- 480 Trina Solar 495W Vertex S panel
PROJECT OUTCOMES
- DNO application fully managed by AlphaGen, with grid feedback incorporated into the final system design.
- Delivered, fully tested and commissioned on schedule. Instant operational impact from Day 1 with on commission, 99 percent of building energy requirement immediately supplied to the site.
- High performance battery system maximising on site solar consumption and reducing peak demand exposure.
- Intelligent off-peak charging strategy enabling cost optimisation through differential tariffs. External BESS PowerHub solution designed to simplify installation, free up internal space and support insurance compliance.
- Future-ready system with ability to export surplus energy, creating potential additional revenue stream.

Day 1 - Energy management system in Action
In a live demonstration of the energy management system’s efficiency, the photovoltaic (PV) array is currently producing 72,840 Watts, significantly exceeding the 56,041 Watts required to power the premises.
Because real-time production outpaces immediate demand, the inverter is intelligently routing the surplus energy, specifically 13,340 Watts, to charge the battery storage.
Meanwhile, a nominal draw of 178 Watts is being pulled from the grid, serving as a minor buffer to maintain perfect systemic balance and stability.
